Where are we?
In the winter months, a number of our veterinarians and technicians pack their bags and relocate to sunny south Florida, practicing in and around Wellington, FL. In the winter months, Wellington is the equine capital of the world, based on the influx of horses to compete in winter show circuits. Our office is located in Loxahatchee, just minutes from Wellington and the Palm Beach International Equestrian Center. Our 10 acre property houses our imaging center, barn, and office space.
What will you be doing?
This is a new position for our business; we are looking to add to our team in preparation for the growing demand during the winter show season. Responsibilities include running in-house lab work, packaging samples to be sent to reference labs, tracking and restocking inventory, troubleshooting veterinary equipment, and other administrative tasks such as billing, completing export papers and monitoring insurance requests. This position is ideal for someone with a background in either lab or pharmacy services in an animal or human hospital setting, but we are willing to train the right person. The right person will enjoy multitasking, supporting a team of passionate doctors and technicians, and be familiar with the world of equine veterinary medicine. We ask that you are dependable, responsible, comfortable working independently, and committed to contributing to a great team environment.
The schedule for this position is 8:00am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday, with occasional overtime. This position is full time and seasonal from approximately October to April. For the right candidate, a year round position will be available. Training will be provided in our Oldwick, NJ hospital prior to employment beginning in Florida; travel and accommodations will be covered during training.
Our compensation package includes: hourly compensation starting at $20/hr, discounted veterinary services and products, and logo wear. A full time, non seasonal position also includes health & welfare benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a student loan repayment program, 401k with 3% employer contribution, profit sharing, Paid Time Off (annual and CE), Employee Assistance Program, and CE annual allowance with paid time off.
