Employer: Equine MRI of Wellington, LLC, d/b/a Advanced Equine Imaging of Wellington
Employment start date: October, 2021
Employment type: Hourly, full time, seasonal

Who are we?

Equine MRI of Wellington, LLC, d/b/a Advanced Equine Imaging of Wellington (AEIW), is an equine MRI referral center located in Loxahatchee, Florida. For the past two years, we are proud to have been the busiest standing MRI in private practice in the United States. Since its inception in 2012, we have offered world class imaging services to patients that have traveled to south Florida from around the world to participate in the Winter Equestrian Festival. AEIW is owned by B.W. Furlong & Associates, an equine veterinary practice that is headquartered in Oldwick, NJ, but has an active presence in Wellington, FL during the winter months.

We pride ourselves on the quality of the services we offer; not just the images that we produce but also the customer service we offer to our referring veterinarians. Our team is made up of a managing veterinarian, imaging technician, and imaging assistant. This small team works effectively together, using precise communication and by setting clear expectations. We are proud of the quality of work that we do and the reputation that we have built for our business.

Where are we?

AEIW is located just minutes outside of Wellington, Florida, in the surrounding farmland of Loxahatchee, FL. In the winter months, Wellington is the equine capital of the world, based on the influx of horses to compete in winter show circuits. We are only a few miles away from Palm Beach International Equestrian Center, home of the Winter Equestrian Festival. Our 10 acre property houses our imaging center, barn, and shared office space with the B.W. Furlong & Associates veterinary team.

What will you be doing?

We are looking to add to our team in preparation for the growing demand of the winter show season. This position is ideal for someone with an administrative background who still likes to work with, and around, high performance horses. The Office Assistant role is part receptionist, part assistant, and part horse handler. The small team requires everyone being flexible and being willing to pitch in and work together. This is a high energy business that requires comfort with managing client relationships, speaking with veterinarians, and understanding basic equine anatomy. We are willing to invest time and energy in teaching the right candidate who has the enthusiasm for learning and basic comfort and experience with this type of work. We ask that you are dependable, responsible, comfortable handling horses, and committed to contributing to a great team environment.

The schedule for this position requires some flexibility due to patient caseload, but is approximately 7:30am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday, during peak busy season. This position is full time and seasonal from approximately October to April. For the right candidate, a year round position will be available.

Our compensation package includes: hourly compensation starting at $17/hr, discounted veterinary services and products, and logo wear. A full time, non seasonal position also includes health & welfare benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance, a student loan repayment program, 401k with 3% employer contribution, profit sharing, Paid Time Off (annual and CE), Employee Assistance Program, and CE annual allowance with paid time off.
