Mike grew up in Clifton, NJ and has been involved with horses prior to attending William Paterson College where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting. After a few years in the accounting field, Mike joined the Morris County Park Police Department where he was a member of the Mounted Unit and supervised the unit for over 15 years. He retired as a Sergeant after 25 years and now helps his son, Joseph, training his Morgan horse, Vic. Mike is a level 2 certified riding instructor with the American Riding Instructors Association and gives lectures on sensory training. He currently resides in Warren County for over 26 years with his wife, Laura. They have a son Steven, son Joseph and stepson, Daniel. He has coached football and baseball at his local high school and also enjoys history and reading anything related to General Custer as well as being a drummer for many years.
