Neva Giannini, Rehab Technician (FSC)

Neva grew up in Maryland, where her love of horses began at the age of 5.  The years following would include learning horsemanship and riding a variety of breeds and disciplines both competitively and recreationally. After attending Delaware Valley College in Doylestown, PA and graduating in 2007 with a B.S. in Equine Science and Equine Business Management, Neva chose to focus her training on the medical side of the equine industry, becoming a veterinary technician. Over the last decade she has become a certified Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy technician, then focusing primarily on equine surgery as a surgical nurse and anesthesiologist. Exposure to the high volume of injured sporthorses and racehorses piqued her interest in the methods and benefits of equine physical therapy and rehabilitation, both before injuries are sustained, and as part of their healing post injury/surgery. This field was of great interest both personally and professionally, so when the opportunity to join the team at Furlong’s Soundness Center arose in November 2016, she enthusiastically took on the role as Rehab Manager. In her free time you can find Neva spending time with her menagerie of animals and loving the great outdoors by adventuring with her horse and dogs.
