Jenna Breitinger-Febel
Jenna’s love of horses started at a young age while growing up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. During her adolescence, she was eager to work in barns and take riding lessons. Over time she developed a strong foundation regarding the responsibilities of horse care and horse ownership. Jenna earned her bachelor’s degree from Bloomsburg University; during her time there, she was a member of the equestrian team which involved taking riding lessons, caring for the horses, and attending horse shows on the weekends.
Following her undergraduate studies, Jenna worked in New York City’s corporate world for three years. She then had the opportunity to work and live at an equestrian center in Northern New Jersey, where she further developed her riding skills, horsemanship, and overall knowledge of equines and barn operations. Jenna decided to pursue graduate studies and was accepted into Rutgers University’s Physical Therapy program. She graduated with a doctoral degree in 2017 and has mainly worked in an outpatient setting since that time. As most things in her life have been complimented with an equine-related focus, she also completed the Equine Rehabilitation Certificate Program (CERP) with The University of Tennessee.
Additionally, Jenna has had the opportunity to teach therapeutic horseback riding lessons, which she finds enjoyable and fulfilling. Due to her background and consistent desire to further develop her skills and knowledge, Jenna is extremely excited to now be a part of B.W. Furlong & Associates team as a Hospital Technician.
Over the years Jenna has developed a love for off-track thoroughbreds, owning and retraining her first in 2018. She currently owns two horses and constantly looks forward to “being on barn-time”. Beyond her passion for horses and their care, she also loves hiking with her dogs, spending time with her husband, Karl, and just enjoying life with her family & friends.
