Andrea Davey
Andrea Davey is originally from Smithtown, Long Island, and stayed in New Jersey after graduating from Centenary College in 2006. She earned her B.S. in Equine Studies with a double concentration in Equine Business Management and Riding Instruction and Training. While studying, she competed on the intercollegiate riding team, focusing on the Hunter/Jumper discipline.
Before joining the B.W. Furlong team, Andrea worked as an instructor and barn manager for numerous barns, including her own business, Heart of Gold Stables. She enjoyed teaching all levels of riding, from first-time riders to those competing on the show circuit. Andrea has always enjoyed caring for horses and tending to their nutritional and medical needs, which led to her career change in 2019.
Over the years, Andrea has transitioned from a hospital technician to a senior medicine technician, working closely with one of the internal medicine specialists at the practice, both in the hospital and during ambulatory appointments.
In her free time, Andrea enjoys spending time with her husband, Chris, volunteering at Mane Stream, and hanging out with her dog, Chunkers.
