Elizabeth Weber, DVM

Dr. Weber grew up in central New Jersey, where she participated in Pony Club and three-day eventing. Her interest in veterinary medicine started early, and she began shadowing her family veterinarian on large animal calls at the age of thirteen. After graduating from Dartmouth College with a degree in Biological Sciences, Dr. Weber attended the University of Florida College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated at the top of her class in 2013.  During her time in vet school, she continued to compete in eventing, moving up to the Intermediate level and completing her first FEI competition with her Thoroughbred mare, Chatsworth House.

After finishing veterinary school, Dr. Weber spent several years working for a large racehorse practice in southern Florida, gaining extensive experience in lameness, diagnostic imaging, and performance horse medicine. In 2018 she made the move to Ocala, expanding her practice to encompass a wide range of performance horses in a variety of disciplines. During this time, she also became certified in animal chiropractic and equine acupuncture. In 2024, she joined B. W. Furlong & Associates and is now based with their Ocala division year-round. Her primary professional interests include sports medicine, lameness, and Thoroughbred sales work.

In her free time, Dr. Weber enjoys riding, reading, and gardening, as well as spending time with her husband Carl and their assortment of cats, dogs, and horses.
