Adam Furlong, Vice President, Operations
Born and raised in New Jersey, Adam is the older of two sons of Brendan and Wendy Furlong. He likes to say that he was put on a horse before he could walk, and he spent most of his childhood around horses – at competitions, on calls, or bothering staff at the clinic. He attended College of the Holy Cross and graduated in 2009 with a degree in Economics and a minor in Studio Art, while also rowing all four years and serving as a co-captain his senior year. After graduating, he moved to Philadelphia to teach high school math through Teach For America. During that time, he continued rowing and also earned his Masters in Education from Chestnut Hill College. He joined the practice in 2011 to start up Furlong’s Healthy Horse. He has since transitioned into the role of Project Manager, overseeing organizational growth and development, operations, and leadership coaching. He is a recently retired triathlete, having competed at the Half-Ironman World Championships in 2013 and 2015, and now spends his free time riding and buying bikes. He lives in the area with his wife and their animals Hank, Derby, Veuve, and Pinot.
