Allison Hickey

Allison started riding horses at a young age in Virginia. At 18, she discovered a passion for steeplechase and flat racing.  This led to an extensive period of traveling to racetracks up and down the East Coast, even as far as Dubai, galloping for top racing trainers.  Over the years, Allison transitioned into the role of assistant trainer and eventually met her husband Bill.  They started their own racehorse training business where Allison was head rider for 11 years.

Following 25 years of galloping, Allison shifted her focus to ground-based care and therapy.  She worked for several years at South Florida tracks, performing MagnaWave and laser therapy, as well as serving as a veterinary technician for a racetrack practice.  Seeking to leave South Florida, Allison and her husband moved to Ocala.  She started working for BW Furlong & Associates in October 2025.

In her free time Allison loves gardening and spending time with her husband and their 2 dogs Hannah and Miles.
