Anabel Morin, DVM
Dr. Anabel Morin was born in Montreal, Canada and raised in the countryside of Saint-Sauveur, Québec. From a very young age, she developed a natural passion for horses and began riding at just two years old, despite not coming from an equestrian family. Anabel is currently 27 years old and resides in Sherbrooke with her partner and their three pets: two cats, Blue and Milo, and a rabbit named Fleur.
Anabel completed her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree at the University of Montreal, where she had a clear goal from the outset to pursue a career in equine medicine. During her summers as a veterinary student, Anabel gained experience working in a small animal practice and completed externships in equine surgery.
Prior to entering veterinary school, Anabel studied for one year in occupational therapy and two years in kinesiology, also at the University of Montreal. These experiences deepened her understanding of biomechanics and performance—an interest that aligns well with her current focus on equine sports medicine and ambulatory care.
Outside of Anabel’s professional life, she enjoys running, weight training, and music. She has always been passionate about sports, including skiing, dancing, and horseback riding, with a particular interest in show jumping. French is Anabel’s first language, and she is proficient in English, although she continues to work on improving my fluency.
