Jenn Linton, VMD, DACT

Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Jennifer Linton grew up riding horses, in addition to playing basketball and volleyball, and always knew she wanted to be an equine veterinarian. Dr Linton earned her undergraduate degree in Biochemistry from Bates College (Lewiston, Maine), where she was a member of the varsity volleyball team and captain her senior year. Though she loved the cold New England winters, Dr. Linton chose to move “south” to Philadelphia, where she attended the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Linton’s interest in reproduction was piqued during a first year mare palpation lab, and she never looked back.  Dr. Linton graduated from PennVet in 2012 and then completed a one year rotating equine internship at Rhinebeck Equine, LLC before heading back to PennVet’s New Bolton Center to complete a residency in reproduction at the Hofmann Center. During her residency, Dr. Linton focused mainly on equine reproduction, including mare infertility, late gestation disturbances, pregnancy termination, and mare and stallion behavior. Dr. Linton then transitioned to the ambulatory department, where she worked first as a fellow then as an Assistant Professor to build a dynamic field reproductive practice. Dr. Linton is now an Associate at the practice with a focus on mare and stallion reproduction. In her spare time, Dr. Linton loves to read, hike, bake, and spend time exploring with her dog, Hercules Mulligan, and especially enjoys these things when shared with friends.
