Wendy Leich, Vet. MB, CVA, MRCVS

After graduating from the University of Cambridge Veterinary School in 1983, Dr. Leich came to the United States, where she met Dr. Furlong. In one summer, she graduated, got married, and emigrated. Since that time, she has been involved in many different aspects of the practice and its development, however, since 2000 she has been concentrated primarily on integrating alternative therapies into the practice. Dr. Leich is a certified Acupuncturist and licensed Chiropractor, and practices using Veterinary Orthopedic Manipulation, Acupuncture, and Chinese Herbal remedies as an adjunct to conventional veterinary medicine. As an Acupuncturist, Dr. Leich has served the United States Three Day Eventing team at the past 3 Olympic Games as well as numerous major championships, along side Dr. Furlong. The 2012 London Olympics was their last competition serving as team vets. In her spare time, Dr. Leich is an avid equestrian, competing in eventing and dressage, and also involved in fox-hunting and breeding. She rides home-bred and home-produced horses, and in 2010 was the USEA Master Amateur Preliminary Rider and in 2012 earned bronze and silver medals. In 2023, Dr. Leich celebrated 40 years since graduating vet school and joining the practice!
