Jennifer Spadola

Born and raised in Randolph, NJ, Jenn’s love of horses started very young with riding lessons at the age of four.  As she got older, she was an active volunteer with a horse rescue in her town. Jenn began working after school and on weekends, with her responsibilities at the farm growing as fast as she was. High school years were busy taking care of 10-20 horses, and participating in small 4-H sponsored shows. Her favorite competitive classes included western pleasure and barrel racing. Jenn continued her passion in college, graduating from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science with a concentration in bioscience.

In her time at BWF&A, she has taken on various roles and responsibilities. Starting out as an imaging assistant, she quickly advanced to hospital technician. She especially enjoys assisting with colic surgeries and post-op care, as well as daily patient management. Looking for a new challenge, Jenn applied for and was accepted to the ambulatory team as Dr. Jan Henriksen’s technician. Traveling up and down the East Coast, from Florida to Connecticut, she loves spending more time with patients and clients in their own environment. Assisting with lameness evaluations, pre-purchase examinations, joint injections, and much more on a daily basis, she is an integral part of the sports medicine provided by our practice.

In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and her pup, Winter, and soaking up summer sun at the beach.
