Jenny Higgins

Jenny grew up in Princeton, NJ on a Charolais Beef cattle farm raising and showing beef cattle and her grandparents owned and operated Hasty Acres down the road where she was lucky enough to start riding and showing at a very young age. From there her travels took her to University of New Hampshire where she earned her BS in Animal Science/Equine science. Starting in the summers of college she began to horse show groom on the East coast hunter/jumper circuit for a variety of world class trainers and riders. She took a break from grooming in the fall of 2002 to begin an amazing 12 year career as a hospital technician at Fairfield Equine Associates in CT.  She went back to grooming and took care of top hunters for JT Farm for 3 years and Deeridge Farm for 3 years. Jenny moved back to the Princeton NJ area in 2020 and spent two years working small animal emergency overnights and then realized she missed horses too much and jumped at the chance to become a member of the BW Furlong hospital overnight team. She is currently enrolled in Veterinary Technician school with the end result becoming a certified veterinary technician. When not at work she enjoys hiking in the Adirondacks and the Catskills with her dog and sometimes her cats as well. She loves, loves all things New York Rangers.
