kai glenney
kai glenney (they/them) was born and raised in the countryside of New England. kai always had a love of horses and, by 14 years old, started volunteering at a local horse rescue and working at horse barns.
They began their academic career at Centenary University, earning a B.S. in Equine Studies with a concentration in Equine Science. Following their time at Centenary, kai decided to shift plans and pursued a Master of Divinity at Drew University Theological School in Madison, NJ. During their program, kai discovered a deep passion for climate justice, eco-theology, and ecology, which allowed them to present several papers at national and international conferences.
Following graduation in 2020, kai took a role managing the Florida winter barn for a dressage and combined driving program. During this time, they realized that they wanted to return to the equine industry full-time and become more involved in equine veterinary care.
In 2023, kai began the process of becoming a certified Reiki practitioner, allowing them to work on both people and animals. In their free time, you can find them hanging around the barn, training for their next race, cuddling their dog Porter, or writing poetry.
