Lydia Varga

Lydia Varga was born in upstate NY and moved to NJ at age 4. She had her first pony ride at her dad’s company picnic and instantly fell in love. She worked at various barns growing up in exchange for riding lessons and learned the ins and outs of horsemanship. She competed in the lower levels of Dressage under the training of Mallory Chambers Lane. Riding Heather Mason’s amazing horses, primarily Tru Journey, aka TJ, who she had the pleasure of naming. She also started taekwondo with her family around age 10. She trained all the way through first degree black belt and dabbled in some Gracie Jujitsu, Japanese Samurai training, and various weapons training.

She took a break from the horse world due to family reasons but unsurprisingly returned, as an employee for Heather Mason in 2022. Though she did not return to competing she continued to grow her knowledge while barn sitting for boarders and clients on the side.Lydia is excited to continue growing her knowledge and horsemanship as she believes there is always room for growth in the horse world. Lydia says she is honored and excited to be on this new journey working with such a great team of vets and techs.

In her spare time she has when she’s not with the horses she enjoys the outdoors, music, adventuring to new places, trying new foods, and spending time with loved ones.
