Nadia Cook-Potterton

Nadia grew up in Wicklow, Ireland (aka as the Garden of Ireland) in a very horsey family: a grandfather who bred National Hunt Horses, a mum who bred Connemaras, Kerry Bog Ponies, Irish Draughts, and Irish Sport Horses, (and has more recently reduced her speed to be the Queen of Donkey competition) and a Dad who whipped in for the Naas Harriers Hunt and did Combined Driving with a pair of Welsh Cobs and a pair of Hungarian Warmbloods.
Nadia competed in in-Hand, Hunters, Eventing, Sidesaddle and Driving throughout the years and came to the US to work full time for Drs. Brendan and Wendy Furlong in 1985 and then later in a part-time role from 1987 to 1999 as a groom. She came to work full time for the Practice in 1999 after managing a local hobby farm for 12 years. Nadia found herself moving up from Lab Tech and Stallion Manager to Practice Manager until retiring in 2019 after marrying her high school best friend and moving back to the UK.
Apparently, not able to stay away, she recently applied for the seasonal position in the Wellington, FL office, and has returned on a seasonal basis from January to end of April to manage and be a jack of all trades in that office. She has five children, two girls, Kali and Taryn, from her previous marriage and two girls, Ella and Sophie, and a boy Henry, from her husband, Charlies’, previous marriage Oh!…and a very opinionated cat called Max. She lives in Worcester, England for most of the year and enjoys hiking, cooking, DIY and painting in her spare time.
