I was born and raised in New Jersey. My family always knew my life’s path would revolve around animals, but no one expected horses! As a little girl, I always wanted to be a “doggie doctor” — but one Girl Scout trip to Rocking Horse Ranch, and I instantly felt the connection. While I’ve always had a love for all animals, my passion for horses grew stronger during a time when my cousin who has Aspergers Syndrome had incredible success with Hippotherapy. I was amazed at the truly personal relationship and respect that evolved between horse and human. While pursuing my studies in Animal Science / Equine Science at Rutgers State University, I was excited to be recommended for an internship at one of New Jersey’s well-established farm and breeding facilities, Boxwood Farm. In addition, I began volunteering at Bergen County Horse Rescue. While the COVID-19 pandemic altered life as we knew it, upon graduation in May of 2020, it was great to be able to put my boots on and begin working and gaining more experience at Saddle Ridge Riding Center. Now, I am thrilled and honored to be part of the B.W. Furlong team which will undoubtedly provide an educational experience which is unsurpassed. In my free time, I continue to volunteer, love the outdoors (especially snowboarding and riding horses), but am especially fulfilled by spending time with friends and my incredibly large family.
